Who we are
Javitch Law Office is a boutique litigation firm based in San Mateo, California, led by attorney Mark Javitch. We represent individuals and classes in discrimination, First Amendment, government transparency, illegal robocall and spam text, and consumer privacy matters. Our clients include employees, students, journalists, researchers, and consumers who were harmed by institutions with far more resources than they have.
How we work
- Contingency fees. Most cases are handled on contingency — you pay nothing unless we recover. In civil rights cases, statutes like 42 U.S.C. § 1988 let prevailing plaintiffs recover attorney's fees from the defendant.
- Federal court experience. We litigate constitutional and statutory claims in federal court, including class actions and cases against government agencies.
- Direct attorney contact. You work with the lawyer handling your case, not a case manager.

We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area and serve clients throughout California — including San Mateo, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Diego — and represent classes and individual plaintiffs nationwide in federal court.
